Ready for the Victory

Facing the Storm

The meaning behind the painting

We all experience many storms in life…storms of our hearts, storms of our finances, and storms of our minds, our spirits and our bodies.

For so long I felt like a victim to my own storms, helpless to change the things which were occurring, and cowering down in fear with each stormy blow.

I had a martyr mentality that I must valiantly suffer through my rough waters of my life…until the glorious day that I would die and leave all the pain behind me.

It is an amazing thing to hold on until the end of the dark night…but do we really know the power we hold in stopping our storms in their tracks as they come?

There is a powerful mentality we can adopt…and that is that we have everything we need to thrive in the Lord Jesus.

We are not at all victims to massive storms…huddling down and praying for the sunlight to come again.  We are victors who can dance in the rain unharmed…because we stand under the powerful hand of our God.

It is in these points of fear and panic that we must shift our focus to all the good occurring and all the power that our Creator has placed within us…He already told us this when He had this written:

37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38

So stand in His glory and face the oncoming storm…and enjoy the ride to incredible strength like you never had before it came and made you grow.  Face the Storms.
