I know…I know…Lord of the Rings right?  I mean that’s what you thought of when you read the title, Hobbit Homes…right?

Yeah, me too, and I have to tell you…you can build your own little Hobbit House and own it for about $15000 dollars OR LESS!

If not for the sheer cool factor that you can live in such a blissful hobbit fashioned world, there are wonderful economic reasons for building such a place that will save you money in the long run.

For instance, the humidity effect of the underground approach, with the help of a dehumidifier, can actually mimic air conditioning in the mid-summer months.

Enjoy a gorgeous and whimsical view from your quaint spiraling staircase while catching glimpses of the starry sky through the glass sky dome built into the ceiling above.

Here is your own basic outline to structuring your own little Hobbit abode.  Follow the link following for greater instructional detail as this is purely an outline.

To begin the building process of your little Hobbit Home, first you must carve out the side of a hill.

Then, like many homes, an underground Hobbit Home must always start with a foundation as well as basic plumbing and electrical work.

This is followed by a wood framework dome covered in concrete for the round door frame we all know and love.
